Corrections disappeared?

Yesterday I spent around 20 minutes correcting a lengthy post in English. When I was finished, I had almost 60 corrections, boosting my ratio to around 2.0. The person who posted thanked me for my corrections, so I know that it was posted and viewed.

When I logged on today, my corrections are at 11. When I look at my correction history, there is no record of the long post I worked on yesterday, and no record of the recipient commenting on my corrections. I don’t know what happened.

I put in a lot of work to correct that post. It had a lot of errors. I’m frustrated that it just disappeared like that, and all of a sudden I’m barred from posting again.

If anyone could help me figure out what happened so I can prevent it from happening again, I’d appreciate it.

Hi Jacey,

I’m sorry to hear that your corrections disappeared, and that you were barred from posting again because of it. The most likely culprit is that the journal was deleted because the children models are set to delete if the parent gets deleted. The correction ratio is querying the children to get the respective counts.

But please don’t worry. There’s actually another table that we use for the Ranking page called Contribution, and your total correction count (105) is backed up on there! It’s an easy fix to get the correction ratio to reference this table instead. I will release a small update on Monday to address this issue, and restore the right count

Thank you!

And thank you for letting me know of the bug!

Hi Masemune. I have same problem like Jacey’s. My corrections disappear. How can I fix it ?

Hi @serhan,

Unfortunately deleted corrections are not recoverable at this time. This can happen when a native speaker deletes their corrections or if a student deletes their post.
