Separate the correction diff into deletions and additions

When both the deletions and additions are grouped in the same sentence, it can be hard to tell what the revised sentence is even supposed to be:

I think it would be better if it showed two sentences: the original one with only the deletions highlighted, and the revised one with only the additions highlighted. I think that’s how Lang-8 used to work, but I’m not too sure.

I know the current client will not be worked on any more, but I hope this can be considered for inclusion in the rewrite.

I would most definitely love to have various display settings for corrections, and this can definitely be one of the options.

Some other options that are possible:

• have the corrected text appear above the incorrect text (I’ve tried this with I believe the ruby tag, but in the end, I was not able to make it look nice)
• have word-level diffs (replace the entire word rather than having characters highlighted) — there may already be an option for this in Google’s diff-match-patch library (GitHub - google/diff-match-patch: Diff Match Patch is a high-performance library in multiple languages that manipulates plain text.), but I am not too sure.

If anyone has any other suggestions for possible display options, I would love to hear them!
